Before going ahead with any purchase please make sure you have read and clearly understood the following ordering information guidelines as well as our terms and conditions of trading.
We reserve the right to amend these guidelines and our terms and conditions from time to time. When we do, the changes will be posted on this section of our website.
Customer Service:
At mp3player.ie we are dedicated to providing a quality service in the field of MP3 hardware. If for any reason you find our guidelines do not cover a specific topic or do not answer a particular question you may want to ask prior to a purchase, do not hesitate to contact us.
Our offices are open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm, except public holidays. You may contact us during these hours via telephone or by e-mail. We always endeavour to answer all e-mails within 24 hours.
Technical Support:
We offer before and after sales technical support free of charge. If, for any reason you need advice or support on any of the MP3 hardware products, do not hesitate to contact us.
Goods Damaged in Transit:
If you receive goods damaged in transit, you must inform us immediately via e-mail support@mp3player.ie within 3 days of receipt. We will then issue you with our Returns Procedure.
Faulty Products:
These will be replaced free of charge, however before returning, due to the complexity of computing systems, there may be times when a product may seem to be of a faulty nature when in fact it may be a simple case of correctly reconfiguring your PC in order for the product to function correctly.
We suggest therefore you carefully follow your product manual. Reading the manual thoroughly eliminates any unnecessary wasted time for both you and ourselves. If for any reason you encounter problems or wish to get additional help just contact us.
Discrepancies:
Discrepancies on orders should be notified to mp3player.ie within 3 days from receipt of goods. Please note, if we have delivered the wrong product to you, you will be required to return the product to us (via An Post registered post). Once the product has been received by us, we will refund your postage fees.
Unwanted Goods:
If you are not satisfied with our product, we offer you two options:
- A replacement with another product.
In this case if the item returned is in pristine and resalable condition we will charge you only postage. Otherwise please read the Refunds/Replacements paragraph.
- A refund (see the following section).
Refunds/Replacements:
A) Under the 'Distance Selling Act 2000', you have 7 days from receipt of the product to determine whether or not you wish to keep the product. If you do not wish to keep the product, you must contact us for a Returns Authorisation Number (RMA) before returning the product. To qualify for a refund, the player and ALL packaging must be in a pristine condition. If not, we may decline to give a refund.
B) If the product is believed to be factory faulty, it should be returned to us for testing and if found faulty by us it will be returned to the manufacturer for repair. If the unit cannot be repaired, we will arrange for it to be replaced. If we cannot obtain an identical item we will then refund the cost of the product.
C) If the product is NOT found to be factory faulty it will be returned to you. If however you no longer wish to keep the player you will be charged a re-stocking fee of 15% of the value of the goods, provided the product is returned in a re-saleable condition. Non-faulty players must have everything returned and be in pristine condition otherwise we reserve the right to decline a refund and the player will be returned to you.
Returns Procedure:
Prior to returning any product to us, you must contact us via the "Contact Us" links on our website front page, in order to obtain a return authorisation number. Then follow the information on the e-mail that we send.
If you return a product to us claiming it is faulty, and after testing, we find the fault to be user error (i.e. Not installing drivers, not reading the manual), then we may charge you to return the player back to yourself.
Manufacturers Warranty:
Products sold on our website come with a one-year manufacturer warranty (from date of original purchase) in the event of defects in materials or workmanship. A purchase receipt or other proof of date of original purchase may be required before warranty service is rendered. The warranty manufacturers provide usually only cover failures that are due to defects in materials or workmanship which occur during normal use. This warranty does not cover damage or failures which result from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, faulty installation, improper maintenance, improper voltage supply, interference from or with other electronic devices, alteration, maladjustment of customer controls, modification, acts of nature i.e. earthquakes etc, service by anyone other than the respective manufacturer's service centre.
We would advise every customer to check the warranty documentation provided with each item.
In any case, if the above is reason for concern, you may contact us prior to making any purchase and we will provide you with the respective information.
Delivery Details:
IRISH ORDERS ONLY
We endeavour to ship all orders with 24 hours of receiving the order. During very busy periods we may miss this target so please don't worry. If orders are received after 2.30pm then they may not go out until the following day.
Most deliveries are by An Post registered post, include full insurance, and require a signature upon delivery.
We endeavour to keep stock of all our products so we are able to meet the above delivery schedule, however, at times through no fault of our own we may not be able to honour them. If this case arises we will contact you with an alternative delivery date.
EUROPEAN ORDERS
There may be a delay in processing European orders because we have to go to our bank for authorisation. The only county that doesn't comply with checking credit card details is France. Therefore, orders from France may take a little longer and we may also ask for proof of address.
Order Cancellation:
Please note that we can only cancel orders before they are dispatched in order for you not to incur any expenses. To find out if your order has been dispatched, please contact us.
Payment Methods:
We accept all major credit cards including MasterCard, Visa, Delta and Laser (Debit Card). In addition we accept cheques made payable to Storm Web Development Ltd and posted to our address. Please allow up to 7 days for the processing of orders by cheque. Products are only dispatched once payment has cleared. Should you not wish to send you credit card details via our secure site, please follow the procedure below:
1) Submit your order online through our Web site using our secure payment area to process your credit/debit card details.
2) Fax your order details and credit card details to us, for details contact us. You will receive an e-mail confirming that we received your order, if you don't, please assume that there was a problem and your fax has not been received at our end. In this case, please resend it or contact us.
3) Telephone the credit card details through to us for details contact us
Frauds Policy:
IMPORTANT: Due to the credit card frauds that take place on the Internet, we adopt and follow very strict and safe ordering practices, this is in order to:
1) Protect ourselves
2) Protect the genuine credit card holders
3) Protect the Internet shopping community in its entirety
You may therefore be contacted by phone on a random basis to confirm you are the legitimate/registered cardholder.
Credit card details are checked with the credit card authorities to see if name and address match up with the credit card number you provided, therefore we strongly discourage all non-genuine customers in trying to submit details that do not belong to them on our site hoping to receive these products.
If we have checked the details and still have sufficient reasons to believe you are NOT a genuine Internet consumer, we reserve the right not to deliver the goods to you. If we have sufficient reason to believe you are a non-genuine customer and have used details that do NOT belong to you, we follow a procedure that enable us to identify you as a user down to your Internet Service Provider who will be required to pass your details to us and the appropriate National or International authorities.
REMEMBER: The chances of receiving goods if you are NOT a genuine consumer are basically zero. The procedure we adopt, is to protect the genuine Internet consumer and the overall shopping community. Using someone else's details is not only unfair to others, but can lead to serious legal action. We seriously discourage you from doing so.
WE WILL AND DO PASS FRAUDULENT ORDERS ONTO THE GUARDS SO DON'T EVEN TRY IT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

We do not promise that our website will be uninterrupted or without error, because of the virtue of the Internet the online shopping service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We are not responsible to you or anyone if we are unable to provide our services on the Internet for any reason that is beyond our control.
We are not responsible for the nature and/or textual contents, or software of website links for which we provide links to, as these are external to mp3player.ie's website and we have no access or control over them.
Software may be provided on our website. We make every effort to ensure that software downloadable from our website (do not assume that it is) is integral and is checked for any known viruses. However we are not responsible in case software may turn out to contain a virus and/or causes damage to your data and/or computer system. The use of any software provided from our site, whether directly or indirectly, is solely done at your own risk.
